Having just come back from Svalbard, high above the Arctic Circle I thought I would show off what a great wildlife photographer I am! It just brutal out there, slogging across the glaciers all day, mushing along behind the dogs, never knowing when a bear will threaten to attack. And then the moment comes to capture the great picture. (Of course, it will be a lot better once I figure out how to use the crop tool.)
Or not.But I can tell you I had to wait at least five minutes for this guy to come out with a shopping cart full of groceries from the Coop in downtown Svalbard. That's pretty tough, isn't it?
Then there was this guy who tried to attack as I was walking down the hall to the Thai restaurant. Man, was that scary. (The inside joke on this one is that his back end stick out the other side of the wall in the restaurant. Ha, ha! Note the boxing gloves.
You could do a whole essay on the stuff bears of Svalbard, poor guys. Easier to see here than out in the islands, but not quite the same. Jim
Those aren't "groceries." It looks like he found some golden elixir and means to keep it cold! :)
